My first Puerto Galera escaped was in 2012 along with my colleagues. I wasn't really feeling the excitement as I spent 19 years playing and splashing the sea waves back in the province. We live near the seashore, this explains. But then when I set foot in Mindoro everything changed.
When we were at the Batangas port I was surprised by the numbers of tourists going to Puerto Galera. Of course, it somehow changed my perception. It was a warm travel by the sea going to the place. When we arrived at the Puerto Galera port I wasn't delighted with what meets my eye. It was like I went to one of the places in Masbate and visited a fishpond we partly owned. However, when we left the place, I was stunned and captivated with how thrilling and astonishing the surrounding is going to the resort we booked.

Our resort is located in uphills of Puerto Galera in the Aninuan area. It was somehow death defying uphill ride just to reach the place. But, you'll enjoy the captivating and rye catching view that surrounded the resort. The cold mountain breeze that would touch your skin, the luscious rhythm of the birds chirping hiding in the lush greenery and tall trees are soothing to hear.
I promised myself that I shall return to this place so, in July 2017 together with my partner I went back to Puerto Galera and spent his birthday celebration. This time we have booked our hotel at the White beach.

The excitement that jitters were still the same when I first went here.
We trekked Aninuan falls. We also went on spelunking, snorkeling at the giant clams basin though he really didn't enjoy as he doesn't know who to swim. I was carrying him all the time we were floating in the water. However, our boat man was kind enough to assist him and dive so, he can see the gian clams.
We spent most of our time at the beach watching and enjoying the calming sunset scenery and the people walking and playing around us. The smiles they had captured my thoughts that Puerto Galera is indeed one of the places in the Philippines that everyone should visit.

How to get there?
According to Wiki and All Souls Regatta, there's a seaplane which will only take you 30 minutes, but it's somehow costly.

Most travelers if not all had surely traveled to Puerto Galera by land and sea. You can take a bus from Manila to the Batangas port and from there you'll take a ferry to Puerto Galera.
Once you arrived you need to pay 50 pesos for the environmental fee. Then take a multicab to get you around Puerto or your hotel. You can also use tricycle if you'd like.
Always remember, travelling is fun and enjoyable, but you have to be responsible all the time.
